Idea Board: A Governed Funnel

Capture before commitment

A Kanban can capture ideas without treating each one as a commitment. Readiness and evidence gates help distinguish projects, experiments, scheduled tasks, and blocked work.

Triage with reasons

Each outcome should retain its why-now or missing-data note. Blocked cards state the input they need. Explicit reasons make security research, tool experiments, and engineering tasks easier to compare and revisit.

A board that feeds work

Keep one working source of truth and publish dated, read-only snapshots for review. Categorization and dashboard views are useful only when they match the workflow and are kept current. A snapshot is evidence of a moment, not proof of the current state.
